First of all, a clarification. We will not use your data to trade with it or sell it to third parties. Our main interest is your satisfaction as a Xenum products' consumer, we do not seek to obtain any benefit from the data you provide us by visiting our site or purchasing our products.

That said, let's talk about legal stuff.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact forms

Through the contact form You provide Xenum your name and email. We use them to contact back to You and answer your requests.

Cookies

What are cookies?

A cookie, also known as an HTTP cookie, web cookie, or browser cookie, is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored in a user’s web browser while the user is browsing that website. Every time the user loads the website, the browser sends the cookie back to the server to notify the website of the user’s previous activity.

Some cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of online stores. Thanks to these for example you do not need to add items you want to purchase to the shopping cart each time you navigate throughout the site (thanks to a cookie, a shopping cart knows that you are still the same visitor and maintains your products added in the cart), other cookies allow the owner of the webpage to see where his visits come from, the time they remain on his website, recording which pages were visited by the user, etc.

Cookies are stored by your internet browser on your computer’s hard disc and occupy only a very small amount of space so that they do not affect the proper functioning of your computer. They do not contain personal information and they get self-destructed when they have fulfilled the function for which they were programmed for.

Due to its widespread use, the majority of web browsers accept them automatically without asking the user’s consent. From your internet browser you can block all cookies generated by Xenum.com or any other page, but remember that if you do so, some pages could start to function incorrectly.

Which cookies do we store?

There are available tools to avoid both analytics system, called opt-out plugins:

Personal info for selling products in the Shop

We store in the Shop the following info from customers:

• Treatment (Mr/Ms/none)
• Name
• Age
• Email
• Physical address
• Phone number
• Language
• Date of registry
• Last connection
• Orders history
• Internal communication history

Analytics

Xenum use two analytics systems: Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica.

Xenum use both so we can take advantage of the different platforms specifications and also have more accurate statistics.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. For example, if you see a YouTube video in our site, you're being tracked with YouTube analytics system.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell or otherwise disclose personal data about our Website or Shop visitors or others that interact with Xenum or our products or services, except as described herein.

Contact form

The contact form send us an email which is managed by Outlook, in the Office 365 cloud suite by Microsoft.

Mailing system

When You allow Xenum to store your email to receive our newsletter, we store your email address in the Mailchimp service.

Delivering products

All the information needed to send the package is shared with DPD.

Payments

We do not store any banking information of You. Credit card numbers and data are managed by our Mollie payment gateway.

Analytics

Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica get anonymous data from You using our Website and Shop.

Google Analytics also includes retargeting info, which is used to show you ads via AdWords after visiting our site. These ads have also Mailchimp as an intermediary.

Interactions plugins

As stated, we use GetSiteControl to show you specifically targeted options. For example, a subscription box when you finish to read one of our articles.

The only data they retain are the emails from subscription boxes.

Comments in Shop

Yotpo is the chosen service to store and manage all your reviews of our products.

Facebook Audiences

We have installed a Facebook Pixel which is not currently activated.

How long we retain your data

Apart from the aforementioned data stored in cookies and by third parties, we only store the following data:

• Emails and email addresses from the contact form in our Office 365 accounts.
• Personal customer info in the Shop.

We retain this data indefinitely.

Where we send your data

Both the Website and the Shop are stored in a server in Netherlands.

As stated in "Who we share your data with", there are some services with servers outside the EU.

What rights you have over your data

Right of Access and Rectification. You have the right to know what Personal Information we collect about you and to ensure that such data is accurate and relevant for the purposes for which Xenum collected it.

Right to Delete Personal Information or Restrict Processing. You have the right to delete your Personal Information or restrict its processing. We may postpone or deny your request if your Personal Information is in current use for the purposes for which it was collected or for other legitimate purposes such as compliance with legal obligations.

Right to Withdraw Consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your Personal Information. Exercising this right will not affect the lawfulness of processing your Personal Information based on your consent before its withdrawal.

What data breach procedures we have in place

We recognize and take seriously our responsibility to protect the personal data You entrust to us from loss, misuse or unauthorized access. Xenum uses all the means at its disposal to ensure that the data is not violated.

In the exceptional case of a data breach, You and the competent authority (Commission for the protection of privacy) would be informed.
