Cerium Oxide in NEXGEN™
Xenum designed a very particular diesel additive technology called NEXGEN™. Our NEXGEN™ fuel additives are based on nano-particles of Cerium Oxide, a well-known oxidation catalyst that improves combustion in diesel engines.
The particles of cerium oxide in NEXGEN™ have a 10 nanometre size, thus they possess extensive surface area which makes them remarkably effective catalyst; even very low concentrations of NEXGEN™ provide maximum oxidation power and performance.
The catalytic effect of NEXGEN™ additives provides amazing advantages in modern diesel engines; it burns the fuel in a more effective way, or more completely. Even the soot particles (unburned fuel) are oxidised(burned) and transformed into energy. Better combustion and more efficient engines result predictably in lower harmful emissions:
- Carbon Dioxide (CO2): Directly linked to fuel consumption, every 1 kg of fuel saved reduces CO2 emissions by approximately 3 kg
- Particulates : Up to 18% reduction observed
- Hydrocarbons (HC): Up to 13% reduction observed
- Carbon Monoxide (CO): Up to 6% reduction observed
NEXGEN™ reduces and vanishes existing carbon deposits. Prevents future build up of additional carbon deposits as well, above all in the place where they are collected: the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), but also on the cylinder head and piston crown and on the vanes of the turbo.
Higher concentrations of NEXGEN are used to clean entirely the DPF and turbo vanes. Our famous IN&OUT Cleaner demonstrates the exceptional efficiency in this matter.
